Visited both locations on different days and I have to say the downtown location was better by far! And their crepes smelled delicious though we did not get any this time. Maybe the next time we are in town! Only let down was they had their restrooms closed even though it was advertised as for use by paying customers. Maybe it was due to Oktoberfest but some of us were just there for the ice cream and needed to use it! ?

I've never been to a rolled ice cream place before and I wasn't let down at Roll Shack Downtown. The vibe was very laid back, the atmosphere is light with some funny animal portraits on the wall. Seeing them physically make the ice cream was also very cool. Ice cream was really good as well. No complaints thoroughly enjoyed it, I'd recommend walking next door to the upstair seating and just enjoying the moment.

Got there 5 minutes before closing and they refused to serve us. Saw them just standing there in the interior not doing anything just waiting for the store to close. Was really hoping to try the ice cream there for the first time and especially after a hard day of work to enjoy something sweet but this honestly was a real smack in the face.

My rolls had pet hair in them. Multiple pieces. It was missing the espresso and the cookie. After making our rolls the entire staff disappeared to the back and we never saw them again….this was my first experience at this location and I won’t be back. I prefer the original location.

Good crepes. Good atmosphere. Very nice and funny owner. They should make several crepes at the same time so as a couple we could eat at the same time. But we will go back to try the ice creams too.

Update: the next day: we tried the rolled ice cream. Interesting to watch how it’s made. The two girls were extremely polite and made a huge effort by trying to spell our name right. They were also very attentive and asked about food allergies since I got the dairy free. Really appreciated and felt that they really cared about their customers.

This is novelty ice cream and you should take it as such. It was yummy ice cream but I wouldn’t say mind blowing. It was for sure fun to take the kiddos to and we will go back on special occasions.
